This annual 5 day celebration held in Fairview Park includes activities for all ages. Activities include: Carnival Rides, , Food Vendors, Beer Garden, Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show, Pony Rides, Veterans Parade and Fireworks Display.
This annual event is held July 4th each year at 10 am. The parade begins at the intersection of West Broadway and South Chestnut Street and travels west on Broadway. It ends in Fairview Park near the south entrance (0.74 miles). The parade will consist of vehicles and pedestrian traffic and include veterans, service members, families of service members, veteran or military support organizations and/or individuals wishing to display their support. This event is sponsored by the Centralia Veteran Affairs Committee. Those in attendance will not want to miss the other festivities in Fairview Park including a 3 day carnival, food vendors and a fireworks display later that day at dusk.
Celebrate! is a festival of Art, Wine and Music featuring local artisans, musicians, crafters, wineries, craft brewers, and food vendors. The festival is held in Centralia’s Downtown Event Space, the 100 & 200 Blocks of Broadway and 100 Block of South Locust Street. Celebrate! hosts the Fine Arts Fiesta, a regional art competition with a High School Art Competition and a Public Art Competition.
In 2024, Celebrate! will be held Saturday, October 12 from 2PM to 8PM. The Fine Arts Fiesta Gallery in the Illinois Theatre will be open Friday, October 11 from 5PM to 8PM, and Saturday, October 12 from 2PM to 8PM.
Balloon Fest is a three-day hot air balloon festival featuring 40 hot air balloons, entertainment, crafts, fireworks, children’s activities and lots of good food. The event is attended by approximately 40,000 visitors in scenic Foundation Park. The Balloon Fest is held the third full weekend in August.
The Centralia Holiday Basketball Tournament, first held in 1942, is a three day tournament held between Christmas and New Years featuring 16 teams and attracting over 6,000 spectators each year.

Fall Festival and Halloween Parade is an annual event held on the last Saturday in October in Downtown Centralia. This all-day event is packed full of special events for the whole family. There is food, fun and entertainment featuring the Centralia Halloween Parade in the evening with floats, bands, and fun for all.
Presented by the Centralia Foundation, Fantasy of Lights is a holiday tradition you won’t want to miss. Take a drive through Foundation Park to experience twinkling candy canes, golfing Santa, or Rudolf catching some rays. Don’t forget to visit 600 N Pleasant for more Christmas displays and the challenge of finding “Wanda”! Open from 5:00 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night at no charge. Don’t miss Santa who will be at his cottage on Friday’s and Saturdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m..
The annual “Juneteenth” Celebration is held the third Saturday each June in Laura Leake Park. Event hours are from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and includes complimentary food and refreshments, specialty sandwiches available for purchase, bingo, games and sign ups for various competitions.
Come join us in Downtown Centralia at the Locust Street Historical Fair for Historic Walking Tours, crafters, artisans, food vendors, an antique car show, and historical presentations. Free Admission!! This annual event is held on the first Saturday each May.
